Let's Talk About Race-
Why don't we talk about race. America today is like a shattered glass on a carpet. The glass is our prejudice, that fell on the ground and broke into a thousand peices, and we attemped to clean it up, a sweap with ending slavery, a light vacuming with the end of segregation, and any modern advancements are slight brushes. But just because the problem looks to be solved in our eyes does not mean we can leave the fragments of glass left in the carpet to lie there. It seems everytime we go back to the carpet, our feet get cut and everyone wonders why because we "thought we cleaned this whole mess up". I say it's time we let it all on the line, spoke for real about race, not holding in our thoughts for political correctness. Maybe someday we can get a stanley steamer for our carpet. Wouldn't that be nice?
