Wisconsin Gay Marriage:

Gay marriage, in my mind, does nothing to ruin the sanctity of marriage. Marriage is a concept in which when two people say they love one another, and decide to spend the rest of their lives together, they use it as a contract to ensure that they stay together. I do not see why it is only being seen through the lens of only heterosexual marriage. Speaking of sanctity, how many marriages turn out to be false, or men beat their wives and vise versa, and adultery occurs, yet we don't have an outright ban on all marriage. How is gay marriage any different. OH, I understand, the bible told us we can't. I guess the separation of church and state has really held up, and we are still letting religious agendas ruin a perfectly beautiful thing for a certain group of "condemned" people. Were the Jews not allowed to marry when they were persecuted? Even they, under the worst hatred, were allowed the freedom of marriage. Why not homosexuals? It does nothing to bother the heterosexual public what so ever. It does not make a heterosexual marriage have any less worth. It is not degrading. It is how people are and people need to accept that or this country will look back on itself in more open times decades from now and hang its head in shame.
